About ECHS

The Emanuel County Humane Society was formed in 1993 by a group of concerned citizens. We are a non-profit organization, where every penny donated is dedicated to enrich the lives of our community’s animals. We continue this work today within our county, but we need your help. In August of 2015 we have re-formed, established a Board, and remained committed to saving lives, and educating our community. We continue to promote the importance of spaying and neutering pets and encourage adopting to provide a forever home to an animal in need. Through fundraising and publicity, we raise money to help all our dogs at the shelter by providing them with a good quality of life. We work together with community partners, businesses, and professionals to improve the animal shelter by making upgrades and through beautification of the shelter. Through our dedication, compassion, and love for animals we work towards finding a forever home for all of our sweet dogs. We hope to become a no kill shelter, where every dog will get their very own human family.
